Role Overview:

We are looking for an Underground Telecommunications Construction Foreman to take charge of overseeing and coordinating the activities of construction teams. This role involves inspecting work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure compliance with safety standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of construction technicians.
  • Interpret blueprints to establish construction requirements and plan workflows.
  • Conduct inspections of work progress and construction sites to ensure safety and adherence to specifications.
  • Utilize measuring and marking tools to locate, measure, and designate site locations for structures and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other project activities to ensure seamless operations.
  • Delegate tasks to crews based on job-specific material and workforce needs.
  • Estimate material and labor requirements for project completion.
  • Engage with managerial and technical personnel to resolve issues and coordinate efforts.
  • Order necessary materials and supplies as required.
  • Analyze production challenges and propose solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide training to workers on construction methods, equipment operation, safety protocols, and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in underground telecommunications construction.
  • Possession of a valid CDL (Class A) license.
  • Familiarity with relevant equipment, policies, and safety standards, including OSHA regulations.
  • Knowledge of construction practices related to trenching, duct placement, and fiber optics.
  • Ability to operate various utility vehicles and equipment safely.
  • Strong attention to detail, high energy, and motivation.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of TAK Communications.
  • Willingness to work outside regular hours as needed.
  • Ability to work in diverse weather conditions and various terrains.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of all pre-employment screenings.
