Job Summary:

The Public Relations Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing the organization's image, increasing brand awareness, and engaging with key audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Media Relations: Assist in drafting press releases, media pitches, and other communications materials. Maintain and update media contact lists and databases. Coordinate with media outlets to secure coverage and manage press inquiries.
  • Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of PR events, press conferences, and community outreach programs. Assist in preparing event materials and managing event logistics.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyze media coverage and campaign performance. Prepare reports on PR activities, highlighting key metrics and outcomes. Monitor industry trends and provide insights to enhance PR strategies.
  • Administrative Support: Handle scheduling, meeting coordination, and communication for the PR team. Manage budgets and process invoices related to PR campaigns and activities. Maintain an organized archive of PR materials and assets.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with PR tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater).
