Job Summary:

The Outreach Coordinator will play a vital role in Mount Sinai Wellness Center's mission to inform the community about its programs and services. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing community engagement events, community training and education, and being a liaison with community partners. The ideal candidate will have excellent research and public-speaking skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, and experience in developing and maintaining webpages, social media, and graphic designing.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement community engagement events to raise awareness about substance use and its impact on the community.
  • Provide community training and education on substance use and related topics.
  • Serve as a liaison with community partners to build relationships and expand outreach efforts.
  • Support the development and implementation of media campaigns to promote Mount Sinai Wellness Center's programs and services.
  • Support strategies to recruit and retain current partners, volunteers, and donors.
  • Recruit and train volunteers to support outreach efforts.
  • Support the implementation of community fundraisers to support Mount Sinai Wellness Center's programs and services.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Social Services field such as Sociology, Psychology, or Social Work.
  • Community Engagement and Outreach experience.
  • Experience implementing and facilitating trainings.
