Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team at Holy Cross Hospital. As a Medical Physicist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of radiation therapy equipment. Your expertise will be essential in planning and delivering radiation treatments to patients with cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement radiation treatment plans for patients with cancer
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists and radiation therapists to ensure accurate and effective treatment delivery
  • Conduct quality assurance tests on radiation therapy equipment to ensure proper function and safety
  • Provide education and training to staff on radiation safety and treatment procedures
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement cancer treatment protocols
Requirements
  • Master's degree in physics or a related field
  • Current Therapeutic Radiological Physicist license from the State of Florida
  • American Association of Physicist in Medicine (AAPM) Certification
  • Previous experience in radiation oncology or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
