Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a Medical Physicist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of radiation therapy equipment, working closely with Radiation Oncologists and Radiation Therapists to plan and deliver treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the installation and calibration of radiation therapy equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of radiation therapy treatments, working closely with Radiation Oncologists and Radiation Therapists.
  • Ensure that all radiation therapy equipment is properly maintained and calibrated to ensure optimal performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in radiation oncology and medical physics, including new technologies and treatment modalities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and treatment.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in physics or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a hospital radiation oncology department, preferably in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to operate complex computerized equipment and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
