Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our Radiation Oncology team at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a Medical Physicist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of radiation therapy treatments for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of radiation therapy treatments, working closely with Radiation Oncologists and Radiation Therapists to ensure accurate and safe treatment delivery.
  • Develop and implement advanced cancer radiation treatment technologies, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
  • Collaborate with the Radiation Oncology team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies, including reporting mechanisms for suspect non-compliance.
  • Provide training and guidance to Associates on compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they are knowledgeable of applicable laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
Requirements
  • Current Therapeutic Radiological Physicist license from the State of Florida
  • American Association of Physicist in Medicine (AAPM) Certification
  • Master's degree in physics (M.S.)
  • Ability to operate complex computerized equipment
  • Previous management experience in a hospital radiation oncology department
