Social Services Program Strategist

Role Summary
Under supervision, the Human Services Program Planner engages in analytical, evaluative, and coordinative tasks related to the planning, development, and administration of human services initiatives. This position is primarily situated within various departments focused on health and community services.
The Human Services Program Planner operates at an advanced journey-level, conducting research, planning, and evaluating human services programs. The role encompasses two distinct salary ranges, reflecting the varying complexities and scopes of the program areas involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to inform program planning and development.
- Collaborate with diverse groups to build coalitions that address varying needs and objectives.
- Develop and evaluate social service programs, ensuring alignment with community needs.
- Prepare complex documents, including grants, proposals, and reports.
- Facilitate meetings and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Educational Background
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in social work, psychology, public health, or a related field. A Master's degree may be preferred for certain positions.
Experience
A minimum of three years of professional or supervisory experience in program coordination, planning, development, or evaluation.
Additional Requirements
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and comply with child and elder abuse reporting regulations. A criminal history check will be conducted for selected candidates.
Probationary Period
The probationary period for this classification is twelve (12) months.
