Position Overview

Summit Exercises and Training is seeking qualified individuals with expertise in law enforcement and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) to support U.S. government readiness initiatives. These roles are structured as flexible, ad hoc 1099-contract positions that may require travel across the country.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the law enforcement integrated response framework in relation to WMD and hazardous materials incidents. Additionally, the candidate should have relevant training or experience in various law enforcement functions, including:

  • Engaging in outreach and collaboration at sites where WMD is utilized, stored, or transported.
  • Designing and implementing robust physical security measures.
  • Conducting integrated response evaluations.
  • Developing and facilitating WMD-related workshops and exercises for federal, state, and local agencies responding to WMD events.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in law enforcement and WMD response operations is required.
  • Experience requirements include:
    • A minimum of 5 years in law enforcement (alternative credentials may be considered).
    • At least 2 years in integrated WMD response operations, particularly concerning radioactive source threats.
    • Proven experience in leading state and local WMD preparedness initiatives, including training sessions, workshops, and exercises.
    • Experience in the design of physical security systems is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Forms, Power Automate, and Excel.
  • Experience in delivering training and workshops via platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom for Government.
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities.
  • Exceptional customer service, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient public speaking abilities.
  • Strong writing skills, with experience in preparing executive-level briefs.
  • Completion of HSEEP training is mandatory.
  • A valid driver's license in the state of residence is required.
