Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Loan Processor to join our team at American Financial Network. As a key member of our mortgage team, you will be responsible for processing residential home loans, ensuring timely loan closings, and maintaining accurate loan files.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and order third-party documentation, create and maintain mortgage loan files, and assist underwriters with clearing conditions as requested.
  • Facilitate timely loan closings by serving as the main point of contact for title companies, real estate agents, mortgage loan officers, borrowers, and mortgage underwriters.
  • Ensure all loan files, credit packages, and disclosure packages comply with company lending policies and state and federal lending guidelines.
  • Submit loan file documentation accurately into necessary software programs.
  • Collect and verify accurate loan documentation, including title insurance, loan applications, credit reports, appraisals, and income and asset declarations, and pass them to underwriting for loan approval.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required.
  • Exceptional time management, attention to detail, customer service, and communication skills are necessary.
  • Knowledge of current residential mortgage loans, including FNMA, FHA, VA, USDA, and Conventional, is crucial.
  • Working knowledge of the mortgage industry, specifically federal and state regulatory requirements, is essential.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in mortgage loan processing, including familiarity with various loan types and regulatory requirements.
  • Spanish and English speaking is a plus.
