About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and prepare patients for their visit with the provider by obtaining and recording their vital signs and other necessary information.
  • Assist with diagnostic tests and clinical procedures, such as venous and capillary invasive procedures for blood draws, intradermal (including skin tests), subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the provider.
  • Manage patient flow, ensuring enough time for patient and family education.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment and patient care areas clean and orderly.
  • Schedule patient appointments and perform other administrative duties as needed.
  • Participate in continuing education, required meetings, and committees as requested.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) and completion of a Medical Assistant certification program at an accredited institution or validation of equivalent military training.
  • One year of work experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Washington State Certification as a Medical Assistant-Certified.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
