We are seeking an experienced Wireless Software Engineering Manager to join our team and tackle the challenges of developing reliable and robust wireless communication networks for drones.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on feature architecture and design experience in core technologies including WiFi and Cellular 4G-LTE/5GNR, as well as a deep system level understanding of wireless communications and its fundamentals.

The Wireless Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing a team of talented engineers working on multiple wireless solutions across the stack from cloud to MAC and PHY firmware layers.

The successful candidate will enhance and improve Skydio's various wireless solutions, extending the range and providing high-speed and secure communication.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a team of engineers working on wireless solutions
  • Enhancing and improving wireless solutions
  • Developing and realizing real-world innovations in WiFi and Cellular technologies
  • Optimizing command and control latency, video streams fusion, and end-to-end network management
