ABOUT THE POSITION: As a Site Coordinator, you will deliver both on-site and virtual guidance by collaborating with educational institutions and youth organizations. Your role will involve providing consultation and professional development to staff, aimed at enhancing social interaction and increasing physical activity through play-based methodologies. You will engage directly with a designated school's administration, educators, and recess teams to share expertise on Playworks best practices, as well as model and teach strategies, games, and systems that promote a positive classroom and recess environment. Together with the school, Site Coordinators will create avenues for students and staff to engage in physical activity, develop leadership skills, and practice respectful and inclusive behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Implementation:
  • Design and execute a consultative play-based program across two to four public elementary schools.
  • Coordinate with school administration, educators, and recess teams to schedule program delivery, whether in-person or virtually, while managing necessary documentation and maintaining up-to-date schedules.
  • Facilitate communication among Playworks staff, school personnel, teachers, and volunteers.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions for recess staff and implement learning units.
  • Provide on-site and/or virtual coaching and consultation to school personnel regarding the implementation of various program components.
Coaching Responsibilities:
  • Exemplify Playworks core values and effective program implementation strategies for school personnel.
  • Offer actionable feedback and plans to school staff regarding program execution.
  • Lead monthly meetings with school personnel to discuss best practices and program quality objectives.
  • Share observational notes and strategic insights with the Playworks Program Manager to prioritize consultation efforts.
  • Facilitate training sessions in collaboration with the Program Manager for school staff.
School Partnership Duties:
  • Represent Playworks professionally and consistently.
  • Collaborate with school administration to design a program schedule.
  • Communicate with school leadership about logistical needs and program management.
  • Assist schools in transitioning to other Playworks training and programs for future academic years.
  • Promote Playworks services to prospective schools to support recruitment efforts.
  • Engage in opportunities to become a certified trainer in Playworks Pro services.
Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely communication with clients and maintain proactive internal communication.
  • Organize and manage paperwork, including schedules and reports.
  • Support school recruitment efforts through research and outreach.
  • Provide weekly updates to the Playworks Program Manager regarding program quality.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Demonstrated organizational skills in producing timely deliverables.
  • In-depth knowledge of youth development principles, particularly in social and emotional learning.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in various group settings.
  • Experience in collaborative work with adults and facilitating adult training.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with diverse communities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as needed.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing environments.
  • Capability to work remotely when necessary.
Compensation & Benefits:
