Position Overview:
As a key member of our machining team at MetalTek, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating various sizes of Vertical Boring Mills. Your expertise will be essential in performing tasks such as turning, boring, facing, grooving, recessing, and tapering on a diverse range of materials with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Set up and operate Vertical Boring Mills to meet close tolerances, ensuring quality through self-checking with measuring instruments.
2. Manage multiple machines simultaneously, demonstrating efficiency and multitasking skills.
3. Interpret routings, process sheets, die drawings, and blueprints to guide machining operations.
4. Select appropriate speeds, feeds, tooling, and operational sequences to optimize production.
5. Prove out and make minor adjustments to CNC programs as necessary.
6. Position, align, and secure workpieces, utilizing locating fixtures when required.
7. Prepare and select tools tailored to varying conditions and materials.
8. Actively engage in team efforts to enhance machining processes and outcomes.

Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of machining processes with several years of experience operating similar machinery and tooling.
- Proficient in CNC controls, preferably G & L and/or Fanuc systems.
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to read blueprints effectively.
- Experience in using hoists and cranes safely.
- Capability to lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs.

Shift Information:
- 1E – Friday, Saturday, Sunday 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work 36 hours and receive compensation for 40 hours.
