Job Overview
As a Neonatologist with International SOS Government Medical Services, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality medical care to our clients in Guam. With a strong commitment to innovation and excellence, we strive to provide tailored medical solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients operating in international environments.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of neonatal care and be able to provide top-notch services in a level III NICU setting. Experience with neonatal transport and proficiency in managing high-frequency jet ventilation, whole-body cooling, and inhaled nitric oxide are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Deliver acute and chronic inpatient medical care for neonatal patients in the NSU.
- Facilitate expedited care and consultation of complex patients to multiple specialties as needed.
- Offer comprehensive care equivalent to a level III NICU setting, including managing HFJV, whole-body cooling, and inhaled nitric oxide required.
- Perform NICU procedures, including intubation, umbilical line placement, arterial puncture, peripheral arterial line placement, and chest tube insertions.
- Participate in admissions/in-patient care, documenting findings, initial diagnosis, and treatment plans.
- Maintain continuous coverage, ensuring adequate 24-hour on-call Neonatology coverage not to exceed 3 patients.
- Respond to on-call coverage, including phone consultations and callbacks for critical patients.
- Act as a consultant to the Emergency Department, Pediatric Clinic, Multi-Service Ward pediatric patients, and Newborn Services.
Requirements
- Hold a Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or comparable degree from an accredited institution.
- Complete an ACGME accredited fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- Possess a current unrestricted license specific to the position in one of the 50 states and/or District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Meet American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) board-certified or board-eligible Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine physician requirements.
- Hold certifications in NRP, PALS, the S.T.A.B.L.E. program, and BLS.
- Hold a DEA License.
Compensation and Benefits
Our salary range for this role is $400,000 to $500,000 per annum, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, financial, and other perks. Compensation is determined by several factors, including background, experience, skills, internal equity, and geographical market data.
