Job Overview

Avride is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Safety Driver to join our team. As a key member of our autonomous vehicle testing operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety during vehicle testing and supporting the team with data collection and technical feedback.

This role has the potential to expand into managing a team of drivers based on demonstrated leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate autonomous vehicles during testing, ensuring timely interventions when necessary to maintain safety.
  • Monitor the technical condition of the vehicle and perform daily inspections and equipment checks.
  • Collect and report data related to the autonomous driving system's performance.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of experience and a clean driving record.
  • Excellent knowledge of traffic regulations and road safety.
  • Experience driving various types of vehicles and the ability to navigate confidently in different conditions.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with engineers and team members.
  • High level of responsibility, attention to detail, and commitment to safety standards.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and on different types of roads.
Qualifications
  • Experience with autonomous vehicles or vehicle testing is a plus.
  • Background in defensive driving, motorsports, or related fields.
  • Technical knowledge of vehicle systems and safety protocols.
