Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Supervisor in our Emergency Room department. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and providing leadership to a team of licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Clinical Teams: Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments to ensure quality patient care and implementation of clinical objectives.
  • Delegate Duties and Provide Feedback: Delegate appropriate duties to clinical teams based on their assessed skills and abilities, and provide direct and immediate feedback and coaching to staff.
  • Participate in Hiring Process: Participate in the hiring process for new staff members by conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations.
  • Evaluate Performance and Recommend Corrective Action: Evaluate the performance of staff and recommend and participate in corrective/disciplinary action as required.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification: BLS Provider certification and Registered Nurse licensure from the Michigan Board of Nursing.
  • Education and Experience: Required professional licensure/certification and 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience.
