The Director of Compliance position is responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing the administration of the Board's compliance policies to effectuate Indiana law. This role will work closely with the Chair to promote conformity with relevant statutes, regulations, practices, and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in creating practices to track compliance with statutory time frames for filing documents and issuing payments.
- Issue or oversee the issuance of all notices of violations and assess appropriate fine/penalty in each instance.
- Present evidence in Board hearings on violations that are challenged.
- Review and oversee the fulfillment of all APRA requests that meet statutory guidelines and request additional documentation as necessary.
- Oversee the processing of all informal Provide Fee disputes.
- Review that providers met the administrative guidelines for formal filings with all submitted documentation.
- Be familiar with EDI in the worker's compensation arena and act as the agency's liaison to the IAIABC as well as the agency's EDI vendor.
- Work with IT, EDI vendor, and the IAIABC to further improve Indiana EDI filing requirements and processes.
- Work with the Indiana EDI vendor to update and maintain accurate EDI reporting guidelines as outlined in statute.
- Review and propose new EDI reporting metrics when appropriate.
- Knowledge of Indiana worker's compensation laws, regulations, and practices.
- Knowledge of EDI in worker's compensation practice highly desirable.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow.
- Ability to effectively give feedback, provide guidance or corrective action, coach, and develop employee skill sets.
