Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Director to join our team at Truist Financial Corporation. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of audit professionals to ensure the effective implementation of our audit program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive audit plan to ensure the adequacy of internal controls and compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Lead and manage a team of audit professionals to ensure the successful completion of audit activities.
  • Establish and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships with senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Supervise and participate in the planning, scoping, and execution of audit activities.
  • Comprehensively analyze business units' existing systems, processes, and controls to identify risks and ensure compliance.
  • Review and approve audit reports to ensure accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
  • Develop and monitor risk assessments to identify potential changes impacting the risk profiles.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or business-related field, or equivalent education and related training or experience.
  • Ten years of progressive audit, risk, or examiner experience with a significant portion in the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of banking, risk management, and audit practices.
  • Excellent leadership abilities, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Appropriate professional certification, such as Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, or Certified Public Accountant.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a Business-related field.
  • Completion of a graduate school of banking.
