Job Overview

We are a family medicine practice seeking a Full-Time / Part-Time Bilingual Medical Assistant / EMT to join our team at Clarewood Clinic PA.

About the Role

  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care and administrative tasks
  • Take medical histories, explain treatment procedures, and prepare patients for examinations
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, perform basic laboratory tests, and instruct patients about medication and special diets
  • Prepare and administer medications, including vaccinations and immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider
  • Transmit prescription refills, perform phlebotomy, and take electrocardiograms
  • Provide wound care and change dressings, and assist with medical transcription

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Use computer applications to update and file patient medical records, code and fill out insurance forms, and schedule appointments
  • Answer telephones, welcome patients, and handle correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping
  • Arrange for hospital admissions and laboratory services, and provide customer service to patients and families

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory, front office, or back office setting (preferred)
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service
