Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting Phlebotomy procedures
  • Gathering patient specimens
  • Documenting patient histories and vital signs
  • Preparing examination and treatment rooms with necessary tools
  • Administering injections and managing dressing changes
  • Coordinating referrals and prior authorizations
  • Supporting the physician during minor surgical procedures and physical examinations
  • Completing essential administrative duties

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program is essential; at least 2 years of relevant experience is preferred. Candidates must be a registered Medical Assistant, and Phlebotomy certification is advantageous.

  • Understanding of primary medical practice and patient care
  • Familiarity with examination, diagnostic, and treatment protocols
  • Proficiency in operating medical equipment and instruments
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (knowledge of EPIC is preferred)
  • Capability to assist in various treatments as directed
