USA Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to digital image management, including exceptions, annotations, and maintaining competency in all imaging equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities- Perform patient assessment and screening, including reviewing prior imaging and history, consulting with radiologists or ordering practitioners as needed.
- Review CPOE and written orders, verifying information is accurate, appropriate, and complete, consulting with healthcare providers as needed.
- Perform visual breast exams based on patient communication, documenting location of lumps, scars, moles, breast changes, etc.
- Select equipment appropriate to the patient and exam to be performed, demonstrating proper positioning for screening, diagnostic, and/or invasive procedures.
- Recognize emergency situations and initiate code procedures as needed.
- Accurately critique images to determine diagnostic quality and adjust factors if imaging is to be repeated.
- High school diploma or equivalent, successful completion of an approved course in Radiologic Technology, one year of experience conducting routine diagnostic procedures, and completion of an approved program in advanced modality or one year of experience in advance modality.
- Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
- Advanced registry is highly preferred, and may be required for certain modalities.
