MedStar Medical Group is in search of a committed Emergency Services Support Assistant to enhance our operations. We seek an individual who is either a registered EMT-B or a BSN student, possessing strong communication abilities.

The Emergency Services Support Assistant will play a crucial role in delivering clinical, administrative, and clerical assistance within the Emergency Department. This role entails direct patient interaction, engagement in patient and family education, and facilitating patient admissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care under supervision
  • Engage in educational activities for patients and their families
  • Identify and report alterations in patient conditions
  • Coordinate information sharing with referring healthcare providers

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current BLS certification
  • Completion of an EMT-B program or one year of experience in a healthcare environment
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an emergency department setting
