We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Specialist to join our team at Steward Medical Group - North. As a key member of our Dermatology department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office.
Key Responsibilities:- Scheduling appointments and managing physician schedules with accuracy and efficiency.
- Managing referrals, check-out, and triaging calls in a multi-line phone system.
- Providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, coworkers, and providers.
- Working collaboratively as a team member to integrate activities with fellow employees and providers.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 2 years of prior medical secretary or medical office experience preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and medical terminology is a plus.
- Experience working with insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations and referrals is strongly preferred.
