Job Title: Patient Service Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Specialist to join our team at Steward Medical Group - North. As a key member of our Dermatology department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling appointments and managing physician schedules with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Managing referrals, check-out, and triaging calls in a multi-line phone system.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, coworkers, and providers.
  • Working collaboratively as a team member to integrate activities with fellow employees and providers.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2 years of prior medical secretary or medical office experience preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and medical terminology is a plus.
  • Experience working with insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations and referrals is strongly preferred.
