Executive Chef Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at The Butcher's Son. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for creating innovative menus, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Development: Create menus that reflect the brand's vision and seasonal ingredients, ensuring a unique and exciting dining experience for our guests.
  • Kitchen Operations: Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, presentation, and sanitation, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Team Management: Hire, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment that promotes excellence in the kitchen.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory, control food costs, and maintain budget goals, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Health and Safety: Implement and monitor health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the management team on menu updates, promotions, and special events, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to marketing and sales.
Requirements:
  • Culinary Experience: Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
  • Culinary Degree: Culinary degree or equivalent experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of culinary principles and practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff to achieve excellence.
  • Food Safety: Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen management procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with kitchen staff, management, and guests.
