Staff Psychologist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Psychologist to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs Gulf Coast VA Healthcare System's Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Mobile, AL.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that involves direct patient contact, including case management, psychological assessment and treatment planning, individual psychotherapy/assessment sessions, family/caregiver stress therapy sessions, and other evidence-based treatments for serious mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluating patients with a variety of psychological disorders
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care
Work Environment

This position offers a Monday-to-Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with opportunities for telework. We provide a supportive work environment that values teamwork and dedication to our mission.

  • Estimated Salary Range: $83,844 - $155,357 per year

Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship or non-citizen status (considered)
  • Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
  • Doctoral degree in psychology from an APA-accredited graduate program
  • Completed professional psychology internship training program accredited by APA
  • Experience working with individuals with Serious Mental Illness (preferred)
  • Strong motivation, teamwork skills, and commitment to Veteran care
