Job Overview

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide virtual speech and language therapy services to students. This role is crucial in helping school-aged children overcome communication barriers and achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
  • Create and execute individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students, either individually or in small groups.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and school personnel to support students' communication requirements.
  • Track and document students' progress, modifying treatment plans as needed.
  • Conduct screenings to identify students who may require further assessment.
  • Provide training and resources to teachers and staff regarding speech and language development.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and formulate comprehensive educational strategies.
  • Maintain precise records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Advocate for students' communication needs to ensure they receive appropriate services and accommodations.
  • Support communication and language development for students with diverse needs.
  • Offer guidance and support to students and families concerning speech and language disorders.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to uphold certification and licensure.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current teaching certification required.
  • Active SLP license required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with communication disorders.
  • Experience in providing virtual therapy services is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable computer and internet connection (Chromebooks/tablets are not permitted).

Position Highlights:
