Job Summary

The Lead Associate, Warehouse Operations is responsible for supporting the Warehouse Supervisor in managing the warehouse floor and ensuring effective warehouse operations. This role involves directing warehouse staff, coordinating receipt of shipments, and scheduling incoming trucks. The Lead Associate also produces reports on workforce productivity and quality, and communicates with customers to ensure satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Follow standard operating procedures to assess inventory levels, submit orders, and audit warehouse operations.
  • Direct workflows on the warehouse floor, including packing, unloading, shipping, and managing delivery schedules.
  • Analyze internal data and report on productivity and efficiency to inform warehouse operations.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisors to align on warehouse and inventory priorities.
  • Assist in inbound and outbound workload forecasting through historical and trend analysis.
  • Assist in inventory management and help with stocking and shipping as needed.
  • Direct workflow and loading on the dock.
  • Communicate with Customer Service and FBR on order issues.
  • Apply extensive knowledge and company policies to complete a wide range of assignments.
  • Take the lead in effectively applying new processes and skills in accomplishing assignments.
  • May provide technical guidance and training to others.
  • Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
  • Work on complex problems that require independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues.
  • Make recommendations for new or revised processes and have a role in implementation.
  • Adhere to all quality guidelines.
  • Work with minimal supervision, with latitude to make decisions in exceptional circumstances within established guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • 4+ years of experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • Previous material handling equipment experience preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse.
  • Adhere to site safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
