Job Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Operations Associate supports outbound activities as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. Inbound roles involve receiving products into the facility, while outbound responsibilities include shipping products to customers.

  • Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for order processing, including accurate picking, quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.
  • Utilize material handling equipment to pick large case items or small unit measure items and place them on designated carts.
  • Participate in cross-training across various warehouse areas and engage in projects as necessary.
  • Employ the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage product check-ins and shipments.
  • Operate material handling equipment as required, including order pickers, forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work environment through housekeeping and inventory control tasks.
  • Engage in routine assignments that necessitate problem-solving.
  • Attend associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.
  • Execute all job responsibilities in compliance with OSHA standards and adhere to organizational policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Frequently lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Exhibit the ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Comfortable working at heights of 20-30 feet regularly.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with material handling equipment (PIT) is preferred.
  • Experience with radio frequency (RF) scanners and/or voice picking is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime with minimal notice.
  • Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities while working independently or as part of a team.
  • Aptitude for working in a fast-paced warehouse environment while meeting established performance standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate through various warehouse areas.
  • Comply with site safety regulations, including the use of required personal protective equipment such as steel-toed safety shoes and safety harnesses for material handling equipment.
  • Utilize acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
  • Quickly learn and apply new information and methods in the assigned area.
  • Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
  • Work on routine assignments that require some problem resolution.
  • Operate within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
  • Adhere to all quality guidelines.
  • Work under moderate supervision.
  • Regular review of output by work lead or supervisor.
  • Refer complex or unusual problems to the supervisor.
