Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Generalist to join our team at Insight Global. As a Clinical Laboratory Generalist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including quality control and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and special laboratory tests within different laboratory departments, including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank.
  • Recognize test inconsistencies and take appropriate corrective action, providing assistance to laboratory coworkers as needed.
  • Call critical test results to physicians or nurses immediately and according to established criteria.
  • Release test reports as designed by our computer system, reviewing reports for clerical accuracy and clinical indications.
  • Participate in proficiency testing and perform quality-control tests within different laboratory departments.
  • Analyze quality-control data and take appropriate corrective action when results are outside acceptable limits.
Requirements
  • MLT certified through ASCP or ASCP eligible with the ability to obtain MLT certification within 12 months of employment.
  • Experience as a generalist in a hospital lab preferred, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
