Position Overview:

  • Prepare and file Sales and Use Tax returns for the corporation and its subsidiaries.
  • Conduct thorough research and application of sales and use tax regulations.
  • Manage the preparation of Business Licenses for the corporation and its subsidiaries.
  • Collaborate with supervisors during audits and assist with various special projects.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant tax experience.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills are essential for effective leadership.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise is advantageous.
  • Capacity to adapt to evolving business needs and respond promptly.
  • Strong analytical and research skills complemented by effective communication abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and data management skills are necessary.
  • Capability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are a must.
  • Some evening hours may be necessary during peak periods.
  • Self-motivated individual who can work independently while contributing to a high-performing team.

Pre-Screening:

  • Upon offer, candidates may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and/or MVR check.

Physical Requirements:

  • Rarely: walking, kneeling, squatting, crawling, seeing distant, climbing on/off truck, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally: standing, stooping, body twisting, gripping, reaching.
  • Frequently: sitting, manual dexterity, speaking clearly, reading, hearing.
  • Constantly: seeing.

Safety Considerations:

Due to the nature of the industry, employees must possess adequate eyesight for distance judgment and coordination of equipment. Attention and concentration must be maintained for extended periods, and employees should be able to work in various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols.

  • Ability to identify job site hazards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to read and comprehend job specifications and plans.
  • Experience working near energized and hazardous equipment.
  • Exposure to traffic and excessive noise from machinery.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions.
