We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Frye Regional Medical Center. As a Clinical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a vital role in performing technical and clerical functions in one or more sections of the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, receive, identify, accession, process, and transport specimens.
- Maintain adequate stock of supplies and ensure a safe, aseptic, and organized work environment.
- Perform clerical duties, including answering phones, data entry, and filing.
- Communicate test results to healthcare providers and ensure accurate charging for all tests collected.
- Assist with microbiology cultures, loading barcoded specimens on autoanalyzers, and performing waived tests.
- Provide excellent patient care and interaction, demonstrating sensitivity to patients' situations and age.
- Greets and escorts patients and visitors, providing routine information following hospital guidelines and department guest relations policy.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred.
