Medical Assistant/Clinical Support Specialist

Medical Assistant Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care Clinic team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Take vitals and document findings in the patient chart
- Review annual wellness questionnaires with patients
- Administer immunizations
- Monitor messages and relay clinician responses via phone calls
- Enter orders for laboratory services
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with or without certification (AAMA or AMT) or current LPN (WI License required)
- Current CPR certification - must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year medical assistant or LPN experience in a clinic preferred
- Excellent verbal and written skills, tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions with patients/families/clinic staff members
- An ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in all interactions
- Understanding of patient education needs able to effectively share information with patients, family members and clinic staff as needed
- Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Experience with EPIC preferred
