Your Role in Shaping Generative AI Software EngineeringIn this leadership position, you will either manage a medium-sized team (8+ FTEs/FTCs) of Software Engineers/Developers or serve as a Principal Software Engineer, focusing on the design, development, and integration of Generative AI functionalities within AIG's global software offerings.
As a manager, you will oversee the Software Development Lifecycle, guiding your team through the design, implementation, testing, and integration of applications or software using Agile and DevOps methodologies. You may also take the lead on specific SDLC components, such as DevOps practices, quality assurance, or release management.
Your expertise will extend to developing applications with highly scalable cloud solutions, employing modern concurrency principles, and utilizing programming languages relevant to AIG's core operations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of a medium-sized engineering team across various regions.
- Drive modern software design and development practices.
- Identify and address complex challenges and operational barriers.
- Utilize your expertise to creatively resolve ambiguous situations.
- Employ advanced analytical techniques to inform decision-making.
- Establish priorities and task sequences to meet objectives with minimal oversight.
- Provide technical mentorship to team members.
- Support the career development and progression of your team.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in technology roles.
- 15+ years of experience in technology, programming, design, or application delivery.
- 10+ years in technical leadership roles.
- Expertise in the Software Development Lifecycle, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in a modern scripting language, web application frameworks, and database query writing.
- Deep understanding of contemporary product development processes and pipelines.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving issues effectively.
- Experienced in system monitoring and log analysis techniques.
