The Clinical Nurse B-Inpatient provides high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. This role utilizes discretion and independent judgment to coordinate and document direct/indirect age-specific and developmentally appropriate care.
As a Clinical Nurse B-Inpatient, you will perform the nursing process (assessment, care planning, intervention, evaluation) in accordance with Loma Linda University Medical Center's established Professional Practice Model. You will also embrace new knowledge, innovations, and improvements in practice, applying theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expanding your knowledge base and clinical skills.
This role requires strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a focus on customer service and safe patient care. You will function in a skills mix environment, directly supervising and delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff. You must meet qualifications, licensure, certifications, and competencies as defined in the unit/department-specific Plan for Providing Care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct/indirect age-specific and developmentally appropriate quality patient-centered care
- Perform the nursing process (assessment, care planning, intervention, evaluation)
- Embrace new knowledge, innovations, and improvements in practice
- Apply theoretical concepts to clinical practice
- Continually expand knowledge base and clinical skills
- Function in a skills mix environment
- Directly supervise and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff
Requirements:
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Other certifications required as listed in the department-specific Plan for Providing Care
