Job Responsibilities

The Ultrasound MFM Technologist will be responsible for delivering diagnostic ultrasound services, utilizing advanced imaging techniques. Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating patient readiness for procedures and demonstrating expertise in anatomy and positioning.
  • Executing ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols.
  • Identifying normal and abnormal sonographic characteristics and adjusting techniques to enhance image quality.
  • Conducting measurements and calculations as per practice guidelines.
  • Minimizing patient exposure to ultrasound energy while ensuring comprehensive examinations.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant protocols and documenting findings accurately.
Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Associate Degree or higher in a relevant technological field.
  • Completion of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or at least one year of obstetric experience.
  • Preferred: One year of experience as an MFM Sonographer.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Current ARDMS certification in Obstetrics within one year of hire.
  • Fetal Echocardiography certification to be obtained within two years of hire.
  • Additional certifications in Fetal Nuchal Translucency and Nasal Bone within one year of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
