Role Overview

The Ultrasound Imaging Specialist is a qualified professional responsible for delivering diagnostic ultrasound services. This role requires a strong understanding of sonographic techniques and the ability to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify sonographic features of normal and abnormal tissues and adjust imaging techniques to enhance quality.
  • Analyze ultrasound findings throughout examinations to ensure comprehensive data is provided to physicians.
  • Document patient data accurately and in accordance with established policies.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent experience in obstetrics.
  • Associate's Degree or higher in a relevant technological field.
  • Current ARDMS certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Certification in OB must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • BLS certification as per policy requirements.
