Ideal Candidate Profile
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant quality role
  • Capability to perform tasks while exposed to various conditions, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and navigating non-climate-controlled environments
Key Responsibilities as a Quality Assurance Specialist
  • Collaborate with client representatives to address quality concerns
  • Maintain essential relationships with clients, scheduling regular visits to discuss issues related to supplied products
  • Prepare and distribute Benchmark Trip Reports following each client site visit to relevant management personnel
  • Gather data and compile monthly Management Review charts
  • Aggregate data for the annual Thomson Plastics Management Review Meeting
  • Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) team, ensuring clarity on customer and process requirements for new or modified products
  • Attend daily management meetings, providing updates on product rejections and scrap rates by part and shift
  • Verify that all First Article inspections are completed accurately before production begins
  • Ensure that all nonconforming or suspect products are properly contained
  • Maintain an organized Non-Conformance Material (NCM) area
  • Monitor trends and initiate Internal Corrective Actions (ICAR) as necessary
  • Promptly inform management of any customer complaints or product rejections
  • Distribute customer Parts Per Million (PPM) reports on a regular basis
  • Manage the disposition of rejected materials and products efficiently
  • Advocate for customer needs within internal processes, addressing Quality Management System (QMS) requirements
  • Conduct root cause analyses and ensure timely closure of Audit Corrective Action Requests (ACAR)
  • Halt production when necessary to rectify quality issues
  • Complete safety and housekeeping audits as required
  • Order and maintain necessary supplies for the Quality Department
  • Keep quality records in compliance with QMS standards
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned
