Position OverviewThis position is responsible for providing mechanical support to the Superba area of the Heatset Department.
Key Responsibilities- Comply with procedures found in the Job Requirement Book.
- Perform all job duties using safe work methods.
- Comply with Corporate Absenteeism and Tardiness Policy.
- Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times, and work overtime as required.
- Comply with all environmental procedures and programs.
- Perform daily specification sheet.
- Investigate reasons for all tunnel stops.
- Remove and waste yarn from Prebulker (H.E.P.).
- Perform Daily Technician PM Check Sheet.
- Perform necessary specification changes during a lot change.
- Answer double whistles.
- Assist in rebuilding Frieze Unit as needed.
- Perform Superba Cold Start-Up Sheet.
- Complete Superba downtime form.
- Perform profile checks on tunnels.
- Clean and repair U buggies as assigned.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for eight to twelve hours.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, lift, carry, and reach frequently.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to seventy-five pounds frequently.
- High school education or its equivalent.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Complete orientation training session.
- Complete job requirements training as defined in the training procedures.
- Complete EQA/Pride Training.
- Complete Quality System Training.
- Complete MSDS/Chemical Right To Know Training.
This position requires working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with rotating shifts.
