At Yorktown Nursing & Rehab Center, we're seeking a dedicated Director of Nursing Services to join our exceptional team. As a leader in geriatric care, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality of care and life of our residents.
As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures, working closely with the Medical Director and Health Department to ensure current standard practices are in place. You will also assist in preparing the department's budget and administer approved funds.
Key responsibilities include recruiting, selecting, coaching, and disciplining nursing department employees, ensuring efficient work functions, and conducting timely performance evaluations. You will also analyze and evaluate nursing services to improve quality of care and plan better utilization of staff time and activities.

Responsibilities:
- Assumes responsibility of center in absence of Administrator.
- Implements policies/procedures with follow-up and supervision of staff to ensure compliance.
- Assists in preparing budget for the department.
- Recruits, selects, coaches, disciplines and terminates employees of the Nursing Department.
- Analyzes and evaluates nursing and related services rendered to improve quality of resident care.
Qualifications:
- Current R.N. License by State Board of Nursing required.
- Prefer experience in the long-term care profession or working with geriatric population.
- Must have at least two years supervisory experience.
