Key Responsibilities
The Senior Manager will:
1. Oversee the operationalization of internal and external reinsurance processes and the corresponding financial entries.
2. Lead a team focused on financial reporting (GAAP/STAT), emphasizing quarterly and annual statutory statements, including necessary disclosures, retroactive reinsurance accounting, and deposit accounting.
3. Collaborate closely with the financial controls unit and both internal and external audit teams regarding reinsurance matters.
4. Manage critical reinsurance accounting processes and the associated controls.
5. Address various projects and initiatives aimed at process improvement and transformation as they emerge.
6. Provide expert guidance on optimal solutions for new and existing challenges by utilizing knowledge of existing constraints.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
- Advanced degrees or designations (e.g., ARe, CPCU, MBA, CPA, MS, PhD, ACAS, FCAS) are advantageous.

Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years in a relevant role within an insurance or reinsurance organization.
- Proven experience in managing ceded reinsurance and leading teams within a large-scale enterprise.

Skills and Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of reinsurance, including underwriting, claims, accounting, and finance.
- Experience in managing reinsurance operations and financial aspects.
- Familiarity with industry trends and relevant information.
- Proficient in financial analysis and modeling.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and practices, particularly in the insurance/reinsurance sector.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
