Occupational Health Specialist

At HH MedStar Health Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Specialist to join our team. As an Occupational Health Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our associates by providing comprehensive nursing care, preventive health information, and guidance.
We estimate that the salary for this position is around $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the Job:
- Provide nursing care, preventive health information, and guidance to associates through a comprehensive program that includes first aid, care and assistance to associates who become ill or are injured at work.
- Monitor associates' health to protect patients and associates, and to prevent injury and illness.
- Serve as clinical liaison between associates, physicians, other care-givers, insurance companies/administrators for Worker's Compensation, and temporary modified duty program.
- Works collaboratively with the Occupational Health Team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or comparable experience required.
- BSN preferred.
- 3-4 years Nursing experience required.
- 1-2 years Occupational health experience preferred.
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure valid in the State of Maryland or DC required.
- COHN - Certified Occupational Health Nurse preferred.
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required.
