About the Role

The Kentucky River Area Development District is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Economic Development Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in promoting economic growth and development in the Kentucky River region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Local Governments and Agencies: Collaborate with local governments, special districts, industrial authorities, and planning commissions to address economic development issues and achieve local goals.
  • Economic Development and Planning: Perform economic development, implementation, planning, marketing, and research work to encourage and broaden the industrial and commercial economic base in the Kentucky River region.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, public officials, and stakeholders to promote economic growth and development.
  • Administrative and Technical Tasks: Perform administrative and technical tasks, including data analysis, report writing, and budget management, to support economic development efforts.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or Planning is preferred. Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Skills and Experience: Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail. Proficiency in accounting and budgetary procedures, as well as experience with QuickBooks and computer software applications.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
