Job Summary

As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for installing and removing molds from molding machines, ensuring the equipment is properly maintained and functioning efficiently. Your attention to detail and ability to follow procedures will be crucial in ensuring the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and remove molds from molding machines, adhering to established procedures and safety protocols.
  • Maintain the condition of molds and molding equipment, performing routine cleaning and repairs as needed.
  • Operate forklifts and cranes to transport molds within the facility.
  • Perform tasks related to mold installation, including connecting water and hydraulic lines, installing nozzles and heater blocks, and clamping/fastening molds.
  • Clean and repair molding nozzles, and wire heater bands together.
  • Install and remove inserts for molds as scheduled, and rig molds for removal from and installation into machines.

Requirements

  • Forklift certification
  • Crane certification
  • Authorized lockout/tag out certification
  • Hand and power tool training for use of torch and various hand tools
  • Previous experience changing molds in plastics machines is preferred
  • Torch experience is preferred
  • Bench grinder experience is preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
