Position Overview:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for executing general maintenance and preventive/predictive maintenance on various blow mold, auxiliary, and plant support equipment. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and execute necessary repairs. Your primary goal will be to minimize downtime and enhance product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on blow mold and auxiliary equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

2. Execute preventative and routine maintenance on all machinery and equipment according to established schedules.

3. Create, review, and complete work orders for machinery, equipment, and facility needs in a timely manner.

4. Maintain accurate inventory of parts in the MRO inventory room.

5. Demonstrate proficiency in the following technical areas:
  • Electrical Skills: Read and interpret electrical schematics, troubleshoot PLC programs, and install various electrical components.
  • Hydraulic Skills: Read hydraulic schematics, troubleshoot hydraulic circuits, and perform necessary repairs.
  • Mechanical Skills: Conduct preventative maintenance on diverse equipment types and possess knowledge of refrigeration, pneumatic circuits, and welding.
6. Inspect products for quality defects and have the authority to halt production if quality issues arise.

7. Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas, adhering to GMP/HACCP/Product Safety practices.

8. Remain on each assignment until completion or until released by management.

9. Follow all safety protocols as outlined in the Employee Handbook and during safety training sessions.

10. Adhere to LOTO procedures with zero tolerance for violations.

11. Utilize personal protective equipment appropriately.

12. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Production Coordinator.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education in a related field is preferred. A minimum of five years of industrial maintenance experience is necessary, with specific experience in programmable logic controllers being advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and perform repetitive motions.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to continuous noise and occasional chemicals.
