Position Overview:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for conducting general and preventive maintenance on various blow molding and auxiliary equipment. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems will be crucial in troubleshooting and performing necessary repairs. The primary objective is to minimize equipment downtime and enhance product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on blow molding and auxiliary equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

2. Execute preventive and routine maintenance as per established schedules.

3. Accurately create and manage work orders for machinery and facility requirements.

4. Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) parts.

5. Demonstrate proficiency in the following technical areas:
  • Electrical Skills: Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, troubleshoot circuits, and install control systems.
  • Hydraulic Skills: Expertise in hydraulic schematics and circuit troubleshooting.
  • Mechanical Skills: Proficient in performing maintenance on various equipment types and understanding refrigeration and pneumatic systems.
6. Inspect products for quality defects and have the authority to halt production if necessary.

7. Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards.

8. Complete assignments diligently until the task is finished or released by management.

9. Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents.

10. Utilize personal protective equipment as required.

11. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Production Coordinator.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Starting at $33.75 per hour

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent is required, with post-secondary education preferred. Candidates should have at least five years of industrial maintenance experience and a solid mechanical background.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks as required in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to noise and chemicals.
