Position Overview:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for conducting general maintenance and preventive/predictive maintenance on various blow mold, auxiliary, and plant support equipment. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to troubleshoot issues, perform maintenance, and execute necessary repairs. Your primary objective will be to minimize downtime and enhance the quality of our manufactured products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair blow mold and auxiliary equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

2. Execute preventative and routine maintenance on all machinery according to established schedules.

3. Create, review, and complete work orders for machinery, equipment, and facility needs in a timely manner.

4. Accurately manage the MRO inventory in the parts room.

5. Demonstrate proficiency in the following technical areas:
  • Electrical Skills: Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, troubleshoot circuits, and install control systems.
  • Hydraulic Skills: Proficient in reading hydraulic schematics and troubleshooting hydraulic systems.
  • Mechanical Skills: Capable of performing preventative maintenance on various equipment types and knowledgeable in refrigeration, pumps, and pneumatic systems.
6. Inspect products for quality defects and have the authority to halt production if necessary.

7. Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas, adhering to GMP/HACCP/Product Safety practices.

8. Remain on each assignment until completion or until released by management.

9. Follow all safety protocols and report hazards or incidents promptly.

10. Utilize personal protective equipment appropriately.

11. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Production Coordinator.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education in a related field is preferred. Previous experience in industrial machine maintenance is essential.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally lift up to 120 lbs.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to noise and occasional chemicals.
