Job Summary

Cumberland River Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Peer Mentor Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health team, you will play a vital role in supporting the recovery journey of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Mentor Peer Mentors: Provide guidance, support, and oversight to our Peer Mentors, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to effectively support clients.
  • Develop and Implement Program Content: Collaborate with our Program Coordinators and Case Managers to develop and implement program content, including workshops, groups, and individual sessions.
  • Provide Counseling and Support: Offer counseling and support to clients, addressing their unique needs and challenges, and providing a safe and non-judgmental space for them to share their experiences.
  • Collaborate with the Management Team: Work closely with our Management Team to ensure a consistent and nurturing environment for all clients, and to develop and implement strategies to improve program outcomes.
  • Participate in Treatment Team Discussions: Engage in regular treatment team discussions to ensure that clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Perform Other Duties as Required: Assist with various tasks and responsibilities as needed, including training, quality improvement initiatives, and special projects.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, as well as a minimum of 2 years of continuous sobriety and active participation in a recovery program.
  • Knowledge of Behavioral Health Concepts: A strong understanding of behavioral health concepts, including crisis intervention and resolution, is essential for this role.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and external partners is critical, as is the ability to work well with diverse personalities and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities is essential for this role.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required, as well as a safe driving record and the ability to maintain the required minimum vehicle insurance amount for the State of Kentucky.
