Job Title: Peer Mentor Coordinator

Summary of Job Duties:

The Peer Mentor Coordinator is responsible for supervising the Peer Mentor Team. This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 2 years of continuous sobriety and working an active recovery program (if in recovery)
* Familiarity with women's issues and chemical dependency treatment preferred
* Completion of the 28 written lessons of Recovery Dynamics or equivalent training

Responsibilities:

* Supervise the Peer Mentor Team
* Teach or assist in teaching Recovery Dynamics sessions
* Initiate client files, including contracts, releases, and intake paperwork
* Keep client files up-to-date
* Complete client orientations and progress notes
* Monitor client health and refer to health service providers as needed
* Share on-call responsibilities
* Work in areas assigned by the Program Director

* Ability to organize, plan, and schedule
* Ability to complete record keeping accurately and in a timely fashion

Work Environment:

The work environment is moderate to loud, and the employee may be required to work outside or be off-site from the normal office location.

Physical Demands:

The employee must be physically able to reach, push, pull, stoop, stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds.

Additional Responsibilities:

The employee must possess a valid driver's license, maintain a safe driving record, and maintain the required minimum vehicle insurance amount for the State of Kentucky, if required for job performance.

Environmental Data and Job Hazards:

The employee may be exposed to blood or other infectious materials, and must participate in yearly trainings regarding infection control and safety.

Training and Certification:

The employee must be certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation within one month of employment and maintain the certification, if providing direct care.

Job Summary:

The Peer Mentor Coordinator is a critical role in the Cumberland River Behavioral Health, Inc. team, responsible for supervising the Peer Mentor Team and providing support to clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
