Position Overview

The AROYA division of ADDIUM, Inc. is on the lookout for an experienced Field Technician with expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of extensive commercial irrigation systems. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is essential for effective communication.

Role Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing on-site installation, maintenance, and repair services for irrigation equipment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to hardware and software components.
  • Engaging with customers to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Maintaining high customer satisfaction through professional communication.
  • Staying informed about the latest technological advancements in irrigation systems.
  • Documenting service activities accurately, including reports and parts used.
  • Training customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment and software.
  • Adhering to safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.

Key Competencies

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Irrigation System Design: Skills in creating efficient irrigation plans tailored to large-scale agricultural operations.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Proficiency in the hands-on installation and upkeep of sophisticated irrigation systems.
  • Agronomic Knowledge: Understanding of agronomy principles, particularly regarding soil and water management.
  • Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with modern irrigation technologies, including automated systems and data-driven management tools.
  • Sustainable Practices: Commitment to implementing environmentally friendly irrigation practices.

Working Conditions

This role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions, including heat and rain. Candidates should be comfortable working in agricultural settings, which may require physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy equipment.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or an associate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience, ideally in agriculture or irrigation.
  • Proven experience as a field service technician or in a similar technical support role.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.
