Senior Plant Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Plant Director to lead our manufacturing operations at Mezzetta's American Canyon, CA HQ and Production facility. As a key member of our Supply Chain & Operations leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering on all aspects of manufacturing, including production, engineering, maintenance, quality, safety, facilities, and warehousing.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a long-term strategic plan (3-5 years) for operations that aligns with the company's strategic plans for top-line growth through expanded distribution and new product introductions.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring smooth and seamless production of Mezzetta products that meet and exceed the company's high-quality standards.
- Financial Management: Work closely with the SVP Supply Chain & Operations to establish key performance metrics that align with the financial and strategic goals of the business, and develop detailed tactical action plans to meet Annual Operating Plan objectives.
- Leadership and Development: Recruit, coach, and lead a high-performance manufacturing team, and establish programs to solidify retention of key staff members.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and development within the team and the business, and ensure production schedules consider materials shelf-life, labor constraints, and critical equipment constraints to optimize production and inventory for best cost.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal governmental regulations, and anticipate and manage changes to risks and operating situations within the company.
- Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of supervisory experience in operations or a related field, with a strong track record of driving continuous improvement and leading cross-functional teams.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field, with an MBA, MAC, or equivalent graduate degree preferred.
- Skills: Strong financial acumen, excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build consensus in a high-pressure environment.
